What the Northeast ADA Center Means to Me—Jeffrey Tamburo

Jeffrey Tamburo October 03, 2024

In my role as trainer for the Northeast ADA Center for the past 9 years, I have had the opportunity to meet hundreds of constituents throughout our region, which includes New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. My passion and expertise revolve around providing comprehensive training on Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), specifically focusing on its employment provisions.

My work involves debunking myths and misconceptions surrounding the employment of people with disabilities, empowering employers to embrace diversity and inclusion. Similarly, I assist employment service professionals in integrating ADA principles into their practices, ultimately promoting equal opportunities for job seekers and workers with disabilities. Creating a space where people feel comfortable asking questions and exploring the ADA’s core concepts has been pivotal to my approach. I aim to foster discussions that highlight not just the legal implications of the ADA, but also the human impact, emphasizing its significance not only for individuals with disabilities but for all of us.

The Northeast ADA Center serves as a crucial platform for me to advocate for disability inclusion in the workforce and beyond. Because of the Northeast ADA Center, I strive to create more inclusive environments where everyone can thrive.
